Breaking: Five oil wells on fire in Ondo

A huge explosion has occurred in Ajegunle Ikorigho oil- rich community in Ondo state claiming five oil wells. The oil field named ‘Ojumole’ located in Ikorigho land has Ojumole-Ikorigho, Isan-West and Is an field,Parable field,Malu field, Ororo and Opokaba oil fields. Sources told ‘The Nation’ that the affected communities include Otumara, Ikorigho, Ajegunle-Ikorigho, Zion Ikorigho, Iluayo, Kendo Ayeren and Ehinmoghan-Ikorigho. The cause of the explosion has not been ascertained at press time.

Mrs Priscilla Ekwere Eleje has made history by becoming the first woman to have her signature on the 1000 Naira note.   Mrs Ekwere Eleje is the first female Director of Currency Operations at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. She has also been confirmed as the substantive director of CBN.   Mrs Eleje was reportedly confirmed Substantive Director of CBN on August 30, 2018, and currencies printed from then on will carry her signature. A recently printed 1000 Naira note was shared online and it shows the signature of Mrs Priscilla Ekwere Eleje.

French billionaire pledge 100 million Euros to help rebuild Notre-Dame Cathedral

François-Henri Pinault — chairman and CEO of Kering, the French-based luxury group behind Gucci, Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and other world-renowned brands — has pledged over $113 million towards the rebuilding of the Notre Dame cathedral. Pinault, who is married to actress Salma Hayek, said in a statement that he plans to pay through his family’s investment firm, Artemis, for any work that needs to be done following Monday’s catastrophic fire, according to AFP. Court ‘Empowers’ Innoson Motors To Take Over GTB’s Properties
